On Monday, Jason, Hamza, Saif, Omar, Owen, and I took a jaunt on over to a barber shop to get our hair cut. All my life I had always gotten the same cut but this time I decided to do something different, because why not? Who cares if people in the Dominican Republic see me with a bad haircut? The room was small, stuffy, hot, and somehow more humid than the rest of the DR. I was a bit worried that my hair would be too wet to cut due to the sweat accumulating just from being inside the shop. The place had only one person running it. It had pictures of different styles to choose from. I chose one and went with it. The barber seemed skillful but I was just thinking that he was cutting it really short. Overall it was a successful visit, and the best part about it was that it only cost 400 pesos, which is just over 8 US dollars (which I later learned was kind of expensive for a haircut in the DR.)
